On the main Notes page, click the "+" button next to the student selector. Enter the student’s name and an optional parent email. They’ll appear in your student list straight away.
Click "Start Transcribing" during a lesson and Note Maestro will listen through your device’s microphone. When you finish, the audio is transcribed and summarised into lesson notes. Audio is processed and then deleted — it is not stored.
Yes. Any notes you save or email will be visible to the student (or their parent) when they log in. AI-generated notes are only visible to you until you choose to share them.
The tuner detects any pitched sound. Use the Key selector (C, F, B♭, E♭) to transpose the display for instruments in different keys, such as clarinet (B♭) or alto saxophone (E♭).
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Audio recordings are processed immediately and never stored. You can read more in our Privacy Policy.
For best results, speak in a clear voice and keep your device not too far away.
You can use Note Maestro in either way. We recommend transcribing the whole lesson, because the notes happen without any extra step and things mentioned throughout the lesson are included. If you prefer, you can simply do a recap at the end of the lesson out loud to the student — even involving them ("so what did we learn today?") — which also gets good results.
